Somewhere in that crowd, second row to center is me, grinning like an idiot during the entirety of their set.  What a band.  Someone please hand me a trumpet.

  • The only problem with this song is that it’s only a little over two minutes.

  • Alexander- Truth.

Listened to this probably a million times on the way to and from Colorado this month.  So great, and even better when driving through the arctic tundra that is Nebraska at this time of the year, really late at night.  Made for a good music video in my little head. haha

  • London town.

So, i’m back in London, after spending two weeks working on an organic farm by Langport, Somerset UK (which incidentally happens to be about 15 minutes away from Glastonbury, you know, that one place with that huge music festival.  Oh, it was so tempting to stay for that at the end of june…BUT now I know people who volunteer for the festival, so who knows, maybe next year? ;) ) Anywho, rant over.  Yes, I enjoyed my time as a WWOOFer, will definitely do it again, and it was such a learning experience.  Wowie, I didn’t know I was capable of waking up at 6AM to work on a field, live in a caravan (infested by spiders, mind you, that was the only part that bothered me) in the middle of nowhere, with no connection to internet, phone, television, just radio.  It was quite badass actually. :)

    but

I am now back in London-ville, went to the British Museum today.                                             Got lost in the British Museum today.  Again.

I love that place, their Egyptian collection is ridiculous, took me back to about a decade ago when I aspired of becoming an egyptologist/archaeologist of some sort after watching numerous documentaries on the subject.  Ahh, those mummies.  What a fascinating world we live in.  I love the world. Yep.  I am also quite sleepy now, and not making much sense with my incoherent thoughts, but one last thing…

I have only a few days left in London before I fly back to Chicago!  (sunday) ooooh

    Goodnight.  Zzzz.

  • say wha’!?

Exactly one week left in Paris.  Ma vie parisienne is coming to an end.  Seven days, unbelievable, where did time fly?

A bit unexpected, but i’ll miss this place a lot.  There’s so many places to go though, the world is waiting…starting with Ireland, Denmark, Switzerland, Scotland, and we shall see from there….and Sweet Home Chicago is calling.  LOUD. <3

  • WHY is it freezing January weather in Paris!? Sinatra didn’t mention that i’d have to wear my winter coat and layer like a crazy person in his ‘April in Paris’. Brrrr it’s been in the 40s and it will continue to be that way! One more month left, I WANNA BE OUTSIDE… :o
